Of our 5 flavors of Nikki's Coconut Butter that we produce, Honey Pecan Pie is the one that reminds us most of the winter season. It makes us feel all warm inside, just like the recipe we decided to pair it with, apple pie!
This recipe is so good, even your non-paleo friends and relatives will fall in love it with it. It's also healthy enough that you can make it for yourself all year round!
1 Jar of Honey Pecan Pie Nikki’s Coconut Butter
1 Large Apple (diced)
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 Tbsp Butter (melted)
1/3 Cup of Pecans (crushed)
½ tsp Vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Bring a frying pan to medium-high heat and toast pecans for 3-4 minutes
Add apples, cinnamon, butter, vanilla and salt to the pan and sauté for about 5-10 minutes (or until apples are soft)
In a loaf pan add a layer of Honey Pecan Pie followed by a layer of the diced apples mix and repeat the process. Sprinkle crushed pecans on top. You can also do this in a mason jar for really cute and personal apple pies in a jar!
Bake for 20 minutes.
