Spooky Strawberry "Ghosts"
Spooky Strawberry "Ghosts"
We were looking through some of our favorite sites for Halloween treats that wouldn't have a ton of sugar and still be a fun treat to share. We stumbled upon these strawberries dipped in white chocolate and thought it looked like they were dipped in our Vanilla Cake Batter. So we created our own Paleo version using our Vanilla Cake Batter, honey and dark chocolate chips! Perfect for parties, trick or treaters or just as a fun snack, these strawberries are fun to make and incredibly tasty!
Ingredients:
Dozen Strawberries
1/4 Cup Vanilla Cake Batter Coconut Butter
1-2 tbsp Honey. We like to use a light honey so the coloring isn't affected.
3 oz mini dark chocolate chips
Directions:
Warm coconut butter either 20 seconds in the microwave or a couple of minutes in boiling water.
In a small mixing bowl stir coconut butter and honey. Add as much honey as you would like for sweetness. We prefer one tablespoon since the coconut butter and strawberries already have a good amount of sweetness.
Dip each strawberry, one at a time, into the coconut butter mix and place onto parchment paper. Repeat with all strawberries.
As they cool down and solidify, place mini chocolate chips on for eyes and mouth. This could be a fun step for the kiddos to help!
Place in the fridge to cool about 10 minutes and enjoy!
